I have broken through the first wall leading from the kitchen into the garage. I want to push the wall back a little to make room for the refrigerator. In doing so I needed to see what was going on in the attic above the garage. There was once a wood stove in the garage so I was able to undo the horrible patch someone had made in the ceiling and poke my head up through. They patched the ceiling but left the chimney pipe through the roof with a couple of patched in wires that held photo switches at the top of the chimney. These switches run the lights out front. Kind of a crazy set up. I also found a flag, an oar and some misc sticks in the attic and could see a box up there. Maybe the hidden treasure (oh, I am sure). The project moves on. Sue has managed to finish both cabinets and their doors in the bathrooms and is now moving on to the walls of both rooms….more later..
