We got rid of our pile of junk.  Sue found a guy who hauls away anything.  She looked it up online and this guy had a picture of his Eagle Scout Award posted.  That was good enough for me.  He and his wife showed up with a huge trailer, built to haul anything, and loaded up all the chimney debris then made a second trip for all the wood scraps and drywall mess.  It is all gone!

Sue and I picked up some material from Home Depot and I got to figuring how I am going to go about putting the family room ceiling back together.  It is going pretty much to plan, just a little hard to squeeze into the corner and nail where the roof meets the joist in the attic, so it will be a little slow going but do-able.  I also got the old chimney stack removed from the garage roof and managed to end up with just one roof shingle left over from the pack by the time I got done patching it all back up.  Another job checked off the to do list.

Max and Karissa made snow men in a jar.  Sue had made up some white play dough with sparkles all through it.  The kids made up a couple of round balls, decorated them with buttons, put the balls in a jar, then tied a piece of cloth to the top for a hat and glued a puff on top.  You have to use your imagination but the kids loved doing it…..more later..
