We opened another mess.  This time it was the family room ceiling.  With all the ceiling popcorn gone except for the part we were removing, we laid out the square, cut the hole, and started removing drywall.  It came down in chunks, usually abut two feet by six feet.  Once a piece opened up on its own and thanks to karate I was able to do a quick up block and protect myself, but it did it once again later and before I saw it I was had.  Nothing too bad, just a skooch on the forehead.  The drywall removal and insulation packing was complete so I started to remove some of the joists.  More progress.

We dropped by the Blooms' to return some tools they needed back and stayed for a little chat on projects.  Eric has made progress on their bathroom and also showed us some neat brackets he made for shelving around the house.  Afterwards, we headed home to the apartment for the evening to watch the Olympics and were quite impressed with the women snowboarders….more later..
