We finally got our gas check. The guy from PG&E came by, took the pipes apart at the meter, installed a plug, and gave us a new regulator. He was a real friendly guy and very efficient. Afterwards I got to checking pressure and soaping the pipe joints. All the joints I had made held without any sign of bubbles but I was losing pressure. I discovered the shut off at the water heater was leaking. A replacement there should resolve the problem.
The headliner in the truck was starting to separate right along the edge at both doors so Sue and I took it by the upholstery shop and had it replaced. I was amazed that they replaced the whole thing for less than a couple hundred bucks. It looks like new again and even has a little of that new car smell…..more later..
