0637, Thu, 030614. Rocklin, CA.

We did a little running around getting some of our busy work done then had a great lunch at the Fountains with Ryan. It looks like he is real busy at work. After lunch we headed back to the apartment for some down time, something we don't do very often these days.
Michelle brought over the kiddoes who enjoyed the project of the day, Cat in the Hat masks. The kids cut the center of a paper plate out then cut out a Cat Hat, some red stripes, pipe cleaner whiskers and a big bow tie. These were glued to the plate to complete the Cat in the Hat look. Very cute. Then the kids hit the jig saw puzzles before heading home.
I made a run to Auburn for karate to finish off the day. Sue and I had just fallen asleep when it sounded like someone was throwing trash cans around right outside our window. About 11 o'clock the thunder started in. We didn't see the flash but I am sure we would have been counting the seconds just the same. An old habit. We snuggled with each other, with smiles on our faces, glad not to have to worry about the mast 70 feet in the sky while the lightning was striking. Whew, good to be on land…..more later..
