0731, Mon, 052614. Disneyland, CA.
We are back home really, I just had to put that in the heading. I took the computer with me but by the time we made it to our room I was pooped, so it will have to be from memory. Disneyland is still one of my favorite places although I would certainly be available for QC if called upon. Not that they are slipping, just a touch up here and there.
Best moment of the trip. Let me set this up a little. Karissa was dressed as Rapunzel with a dress that Michelle had made, Max was wearing his Mikey shirt with one big googly eye and a big grin at the bottom. Now, Karissa wasn't just dressed as Rapunzel, she was Rapunzel. Disney has a Meet and Greet Princesses spot. We were able to go into a castle and meet the Princesses on a private visit. As Karissa walked up to Cinderella, Cinderella introduced herself and asked what her name was. Without a hesitation the answer came right out as Rapunzel. Then the poor princess looked at her brother and said You must be Mikey. Max looked serious as he politely said no, his name was Max.
The crowds were thick but we managed to get all the rides in thanks to the fast pass. I think the longest wait was probably Peter Pan, an hour. I don't know what the fascination is with that ride. Snow White goes empty while people wait forever for Peter Pan.
My favorite, not even a ride, simply walking Main Street. And now with a Starbucks what more could there be. I do have to write to them in disappointment, Starbucks doesn't have a Disneyland Cup.
Fantasmic was just that. After the show we stayed put and watched one of the most wonderful fireworks displays I have ever seen. The fireworks went off in coordination with the music. Unbelievable timing, a great way to finish our visit…..more later..
