0615, Mon, 060914. Rocklin, CA.

It was Special Day with Karissa. We took her to see her second love of life, horses. Samantha just graduated from High School and is devoted to working with horses. She has a nice big chestnut colored horse named Miss Tilley. Karissa (and Sue and I) got to see how a large stable works, where they store the food, the tack room with all the equipment, even the chance to see a ferrier working on reshoeing one of the horses. Then we got to meet Tilley. She loves the attention and is very gentle. Karissa got to pet the horse, feed her snacks, and help brush her. What an experience. I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the size of a real horse but enjoyed giving her the snacks, apple slices and little carrots. Tilley loved the attention…….
It finally happened. I have gotten the first coat of varnish on the wood slab. We are still making good progress. The inspection party (the Blooms) came by to check out the project so we enjoyed a small chat with them….more later..
