0700, Fri, 062714. Newport, Wales.
We had a bus tour of London in the morning with a tour guide that had a great sense of humor. We got a chance to see a portion of the changing of the guards They marched down the street, a very crowded event. In the afternoon we headed over to the Tower of London. It was used as a prison and the place that housed the royal jewels of all things. We got a chance to see all the crowns filled with diamonds and such as well as lots of decoration made of gold, and more gold.
We left London for Stonehenge, an awesome sight. So different to see in person. Then we were off to the Roman Baths in,of all places, Bath. Later in the day we passed into Wales. What a language. The signs are in both Welsh and English, not close. It looks like someone had one of those spelling games, rolling the dice and saying that was it. The poor kids with their spelling tests. It is a wonder I had trouble with spelling.
We ran into a bit of a sprinkle in Bath but didn't get too wet.....more later..
