The kids came over for their weekly visit and since it was Max's B'day, Sue's project de jour was making rockets. Tinfoil is wrapped around a thin stick with a matchhead inside. It is completed with little tail fins and all. For launching, the stick with the rocket on the end is placed in a hole of a cardboard box and a candle is placed below the head of the rocket. This lights the match and zingo, it launches. About one in ten actually take off but when they do they travel about twenty feet. Pretty kewl project, can't wait to see what happens on his tenth B'day.
There was a B'day dinner at the Bloom's that was enjoyable. Max's Gramma Butterfly was there as well. We played a game of Enchanted Forest and enjoyed the company....more later..
