Friday, 042415, Fairbanks Alaska.

The flight to Fairbanks was short and smooth with clear views of the snow covered mountains. We flew past Denali, otherwise known as Mt Mc Kinley, a beautiful sight.
Yesterday we headed out to see the sights. We worked out the bus system which is real well organized. We had a map of the routes for the different colored busses and each bus stop had a schedule of when to expect the next bus. They even have an app that will show you where the bus is. Quite a change from La Paz where even the bus drivers didn't seem to know the schedule or route of the local busses.
We made it up the hill to the local university and to the museum. It was nice to have the time to sit and listen to the various film clips as we browsed through the Alaskan history. We learned the cause for the northern lights and have been on the night call from the front desk at the hotel if the lights show up. Nothing yet, but we have one more night.
after the museum we headed down to the river and walked along the river walk then headed back to the bus for a ride back to the hotel.....more later..
