We rototilled the backyard yesterday. The ground is clay so I expected either the rototiller would run across the surface or would bog down in the goo. It did neither, the tool performed like a champ. We were done in about two hours and the entire backyard is now turned. We read this might be a way to get rid of the bermuda grass, till every couple of weeks. This chops it up so it can't send out runners turning the roots up to the sun killing them and the seeds don't get a chance to grow. If tilling is as easy as this was, it would be a great way to get rid of the weeds.
Max had a double header this week. He ran his mile in the park right across the street from our place. We didn't have to fight for a parking space, we simply walked over. Max seems to be getting better, trying out something he heard, run like crazy for a bit then slow for a bit. He managed to come in about six spots ahead of the day before. He is all smiles.....more later..
