0722, Sun, 100415. Rocklin, CA.

We had a great outing yesterday with Max. We took him over to the local Junior College to a maker's fair. There were lots of different booths with different hands on things to make, but first off was the catapult. We walked in without any waiting line. I helped the guys set the load and Max got to pull the trigger. Wow, off went the cantaloupe, flying high about a hundred feet. Really kewl.
Max got to run some small battle bots, make a part of a mosaic (and sign the back), Make a whistle out of tongue depressors, make a tie die shirt, and more. One thing that was a real hit, and very simple, a one by six about a foot and a half long with a one inch dowel screwed across the bottom. Max would launch a bean bag simply by stomping on the end then try to catch it.
We saw most of the fair but got hungry so headed out for lunch. Max loves Mexican so we headed to a little place right across the street from the college, Alberto's Taqueria. I had a burrito that stuffed me. Max's burrito was a kids size but looked about the same as mine. That kid is growin'.
We finished up our day with another Harry Potter movie. A fine day....more later..
