We did get a visit in the evening. A sea gull adopted Neos. He was nice enough to stay in the water but didn't leave the stern for several hours. Every time another gull would fly over our little friend would start squawking until the sky was once again clear. Finally we felt sorry for him and tossed out a pancake. Wow, he was all over that. He gulped it down and fluffed his feathers ducking his head under water. He was a happy camper. He stayed around, hanging about ten feet off the back of the boat and we finally got out one more flapjack which he devoured in short order. After hanging out with us for the latter part of the day I think he finally got his reward and was off to places sea gulls go for the night.
We have tried to get Jimbo on the SSB the last couple of nights. He is back in Auburn and we have arranged for a station and time to meet. We tried on Friday night. He came through loud and clear but every time Sue keyed the mike it would cancel out the station. We tried to reprogram but it just wasn't meant to be. Sue cleared that problem the following day and we were ready, but I think Jimbo was at the airport picking up Ellen. We did listen in as a fellow talked for a short bit sounding like he was right there in the boat with us. He was someplace in Utah. We could almost make out the party he was talking to in Connecticut. Pretty amazing.
Another Meg Ryan serious movie was playing last night so we thought we would take it in, Land of Women. I guess it was trying to show the strife of women throughout life. It was entertaining, not quite so dark like last night's…..more later..
