0742, Mon, 011612.     La Paz.     We had perfect weather yesterday, a slight breeze with nice warm sunshine and flat seas.

We headed into the marina for the junk swap flea market for the boaters.  We found Russ and Janet as well as their guests enjoying the sunshine.  Russ's mom, aunt and his cousin are in town for awhile.  R & J had thought they would take their guests out to the islands but it sounds like they will be more comfortable staying right there on the dock.  Janet told a great tale of bringing the boat in.  They have a slip just inside the opening to the marina with a sharp turn to the right.  They were fighting current and wind as they entered the marina trying to make that sharp right.  The guy on the dock yelled to Janet to throw him the bow line.  She ran to the front of the boat, grabbed the line, gave it a heave, and the entire line went to the dock.  Russ had told her everything was ready.  Ooops.  These things happen.  The moment of "What the heck" is always priceless.

We mingled with others as we enjoyed the junk.  I pointed out one guy to Sue who was way too organized.  He had all his stainless steal parts in little baggies, two or so to a bag.  I was impressed.  And people ask what you do on a boat all day.

The Rock N Roll gang headed out to breakfast as we headed back to Neos to enjoy the weather.  We enjoyed a nice relaxing day on the boat, reading.  I have started about three or four books and have finally landed on one that I am trying to finish.  You may remember the Outlander books with Jamie and Claire.  This is a new book out recently  about Jamie while he is paroled to Helwater.  In the evening we surprised Michelle's family with a Skype call.  We saw their computer was on so we gave it a try.  We hooked up, lousy connection as usual but it was fun to see all their smiley faces.

Almost forgot, we got a sprinkle last night.  We were going to roll over and head back to sleep but the rain started to become a little harder getting Sue up to check things on the back deck.  No sooner did she get up and the rain quit.  No thunder and lightning as well as no wind, a restful night……more later..
