0734, Mon, 010912.     La Paz.     We survived our first day back.  Just before leaving for the States, I made a horrible attempt to resurface our table.  The paint was too thick and left a rippled finish.  So today I spent some time sanding.  Half of the top is now smooth once again and with a little more sanding will be ready for a redo.  Hopefully I will find time to tackle the other half today. 

We made a trip to town to stock up on groceries.  The shuttle left the marina around 1330 and dropped us off at Marina De La Paz.  It was a good walk to the store, something we both need after the goodies we consumed in CA.  We did our shopping and then caught a taxi back to the marina.  No bargains in La Paz, the taxi charged us ten bucks for the ride back home.  Oh well, we arrived in good shape, found a cart waiting right at our stop and packed the food back to Neos. 

In my organizing I put Patito Dos into the water for his first voyage.  I purposely put him on the side of the boat away from the dock and watched as one of the locals took a close look and was checking out the shoreline.  We heard others mention our new rubber ducky with their expressions of glee.  Always fun to put a smile on a stranger's face. 

We have internet although our billing with the office is all mixed up.  We tried to straighten things out but it was the weekend help so we will have to head in today and figure out what went wrong.  Sue had a hard time checking in with a new girl, so here we go.  The internet made it available to us for a round of boggle in the afternoon, actually getting into the single digits in our standings.  Of course we checked out the movie scene in the evening and once again pick up on Big Love where we left off.  They are still in one heap of a mess and seem to make it worse with every step along the way….more later..
