0712, Mon, 050712. Puerto Escondido. It is a mill pond morning. I think everyone that hasn't left
I would say the Loreto Fest was a success. Russ played every game available with his team taking first place in Over the Line, second in horseshoes. We got to watch the final innings of a tough team to beat. The other team had an average age somewhere in the low twenties and they were good, just not good enough. There were no seminars for us but we did walk around cheering people on as the final playoffs took place. This was a good day for taking in a lot of people watching and chatting with lots of new acquaintances. The day finished up with a great little potluck dinner and then the winners' ceremony. After that was the open mike session for any of the cruisers who wanted to play their instruments. Someone was looking for a keyboard so we loaned ours out. I think the highlight of the evening was a little girl, about ten or twelve years old. She had been running around, just like a little kid should be doing, have the time of life with all the activity. She got up on stage and sang a couple of songs, a capella, all by herself. They weren't easy songs to sing but she tapped out the beat during pauses in order to keep rhythm. She did a super job, staying right on key throughout. Once done she went right back to having fun.
We headed back to Neos for an early bed time and a couple of episodes of Sopranos. We have now finished season three. The family, both Tony's own family and his mob family, are hanging together by a thread. It will be interesting to see how he pulls it all back together
more later..
