0715, Sat, 051212.     Bahia Marquer.     It is a quiet day this morning.  The air is still and the birds are sleeping in.  The only thing moving is the bright sun coming over the island.

In the morning we had a pod of dolphins swimming around our bay gathering their breakfast.  About a half dozen of these guys were bobbing around the area.  They worked the entire bay, at times coming real close to Neos.  As we heard their big puffs of breath we would go out to the bow and watch the show as they slowly worked their way by.

I finally got the fishing gear figured out with different leaders all put together, a pair for bottom fishing, a pair for trolling, and a pair for fresh bait.  I have a couple of really old poles I used to take back packing, the kind that telescope out so they take up very little room when put away.  They were cheapies so not much is expected of them.  I also have a couple of reels that go way back from when my brother and I were kids.

The trip was on.  We waited until a couple of hours before sunset, gathered the stuff (fishing tackle, box of equipment, bucket, knife, bait, cutting board, etc) dropped the dink in the water and were off.  Oops, almost ran out of fuel.  Back to the boat for a fill up.  Finally, we were at the point where the hillside disappears into the sea, over the rocks.  Sue hooked a big one, a rock that is.  I turned the dink around and tried going back on the hook but only managed to break the pole in half and lose the entire leader.  Ain't fishin' fun.  We traded off with the one pole we had left, one would paddle a bit while the other did the fishing.  Not a bight.  The wind started to come up a bit stirring the water around the point so we headed back to Neos empty handed.  So much for the big catch.

Cards, harrumph!  Sopranos, now into drugs and still bumping off their own bosses.  Pretty soon there won't be anyone left…..more later..
