0649, Thu, 061412.     Juncalito.     We came down yesterday morning to this area in nice calm weather. Our timing was perfect.  A little while after we got in, the wind picked up which would have been right on the nose.  Ha, we beat the gods.  This is a little anchorage we have been in before that lies just north of Escondido.  I may have used the name of the bay last time, Bahia Chuenque, but the locals use the town name instead.  Place names have been funny that way all along our trip.  If you come from the sea you tend to use the water names while the dirt dwellers tend to use the land names.  Makes sense.

Once the hook was down we were surrounded by fish.  Groups of a dozen or more were swarming all around the bay right at the surface.  They looked like yellow tail.  I quickly got out the pole and tried a couple of lures, but whatever they were after, it wasn't the silly lure.  I dropped the hook right on top of them and they weren't interested.  At least I tried.

I'm in trouble now.  I have won the card game two days in a row, but I have had to work at it.  The scores were real close.  Movie time:  Tombstone.  This is a classic must see movie.  I'm not sure if they took license with the history, that would be interesting to check out, but the shoot out at the OK Corral was close to the actual history.  Great acting…….more later..
