0640, Thu, 040413.  La Paz.

The outing for the day was a trip to Home Depot, "Starbucks", and Wal-Mart.  That's right, there is a brand new shopping center across town with a brand new Starbucks.  La Paz has come of age.  It is set in a beautiful new shopping center, outdoors, with pretty little garden areas sprinkled throughout.  The walks are covered with big sail cloth structures and huge wooden (?) beams.  The beams at first look appear to be about one foot by two feet in size and they would have pulled it off except for the connecting joints they put in the middle of the spans.  It looks like they tried to melt them together and create the wood grain but didn't quite pull it off.  Oh well, the average eye will enjoy.

I get a kick out of the bags of coffee that are being sold these days.  I guess with the price of coffee climbing they want to try and deceive by having a half pound bag that looks like the old one pound bag.  Oh well, the stuff inside is still worth it to me.

We perused through the Depot and Wal-Mart, filled up the backpacks with food and headed back to Neos.

In the afternoon, after a great day at the card table, we got more care packages from RnR.  They are at their one week countdown and emptying the food lockers.  They gave us more stuff than a regular trip to the grocery, wow.

Movie time wasn't so hot, Reservoir Dogs.  Another movie we had seen a long time ago and should have left it at that.  A Tarantino movie.  The group of guys pull off a heist and all end up dead by the end of the movie.  It shows the story as it unfolds from each person's point of view.  Sort of a good idea but definitely not worth watching a second time…..more later..
