0752, Mon, 082613.  Rocklin, CA.

The 3rd Birthday was a hit for our granddaughter, and so was the doll house.  Her cousin (turns three next week), her brother, and Karissa were all scrambling to get their head inside looking at all the furniture.  The furniture faired well, only two pieces down, one of the chairs (the weakest link in the bunch) and a little strip that serves as a back splash.  Easy with a drop or two of glue to put back in working order.  The little people we bought to live in the house turned out to be just the right size but we got a note later from Michelle that a "cow" (puppet) had moved into the house and would not leave when asked by mother K.

The rest of our time was filled with getting things done around the house.  Sue contacted the table company (we got three little tables for around the living room) because one of the corners had been crunched somewhere in transit.  Ready for an argument they simply told her they would get a new top in the mail and they would let us know if they wanted the old one back.  Now that is service.  Overstock.com is the outfit.  Even the guy on the phone spoke English, a real plus these days.

The apartments have a couple of parking spots available with a hose and nozzle all set up to wash the car so we took advantage of that the other day.  It sure makes it convenient.  The late afternoon was taken up with a walk around the neighborhood for exercise and some sightseeing, then we sat down to look at the things for sale that the realtor had given us.  We picked out some to take a look at and on a whim hopped in the car to go take a look at one out toward Lincoln area.  They were nice but didn't quite fit our needs so we will keep looking.

Last night's movie and popcorn was Vantage Point.  It was about the assassination of the President.  It would show the story as experienced by each person, rewinding to the beginning and show the next persons point of view.  Well done, worth seeing……more later..
