For Halloween we ventured over to the Bloom house and got to see loads of little ones running the streets Trick and Treating. Max was a Vampire Bat this year with a costume his mother made, outstanding. All dressed in black with vampire teeth and a set of bat wings that went over his back like a cape and attached to his arms, he looked great. His dad and I took him out just after dark going from door to door. Early on one of the people asked him "What do you say?" His response, "Thank you!", but he hadn't gotten anything yet. Right away he realized it was "Trick or Treat". Now that's a kid with proper manners, ha.
As my brother and I grew up we went from stuffing a witch figure on the front porch to getting in the witch outfit to standing out on the lawn scaring the parents of the little ones. It was quite amusing. There is lots of potential here.
Sue and I haven't seen so many little hooligans running the neighborhood for years. Living in the country we never got more than the neighbor kids. We got a few on the boat at times. In
