I got to use the table saw first thing in the morning. Sue helped me rip some plywood into strips for the curb that goes around the coffered ceiling in the family room. The wood sailed through, cutting like butter, simply awesome.
We had a plumber come by to bid relocating a gas pipe for the cook top and run water over to the new spot for the refrigerator. He mentioned they can now use plastic pipe for water but there is a drawback. The mice can eat through it. I would say that is a major drawback. We will be going with the old fashioned copper.
We headed back to the apartment for the afternoon meeting of the kids. Sue's project de jour was a major success. Cookies. She made up a sugar cookie which was covered with blue frosting. Then the kid made a head and paws out of balls of white fondant and decorated them with chocolate to make the eyes, nose, and bottom of the paws. It made a little polar bear with just the head and feet sticking out of the water. Quite cute, the kids thinking it was quite yummy…..more later..
