I was out of town for the weekend to a BBC (Black Belt Council) meeting for Shotokan Karate in Santa Barbara. Since I hadn't seen these people for at least eight years it was a great reunion for me. Of course they were curious as soon as they found out what I had been up to for the past eight years so there were lots of stories to be told.
The meeting was long but interesting since it covers everything SKA has done and where we are headed in the future. Of course it is always a privilege and a joy to greet Mr Oshima, the leader of the group, who is getting along in age but still looks to be going strong.
With the long drive behind us, it is nice to be back home and settle back into the routine….more later.
