0732, Fri, 031414. Rocklin, CA.
I little forward, a little backward. The gas line was my project. The pipe has to jump up about a foot or so to cross the new raised ceiling and my figuring was just a little too high, so back to Home Depot to see what they have in the way of a shorter pipe. Other than that it is coming along well.
We picked up the truck then headed to HD for the some pipe then picked up Max for his special day. We took him to the Hobby Shop and spent a half hour on the slot car track. It worked out great since he got the faster of the two cars and really enjoyed slamming Pops. He would let me catch up and pass then he would zoom by with a grin from ear to ear. It was time for a snack but instead of an ice cream he asked if we could get a cupcake. Unfortunately the cupcake store was out of business so we changed it up by heading over to the Nuggtet grocery store where Max found a St Patty's Day cup cake with a half inch of cream on top. Once again he was all smiles. Somewhere in there I forgot to mention we went past Restore to pick up the oven we had set aside because next we headed to the house to drop off the oven and let Max work on sculpting. His great uncle Tom, the sculptor, sent him some wax. Max made an elephant, a monkey and a dolphin. It was time to call it a day.
We were greeted by a princess at the door all dressed up ready for the ball. She was full of hugs. A great day…..more later.
