You've gotta love the service from AT&T. They narrow down the service call to a small window that you need to stick around the house for, anywhere from eight in the morning to eight at night. Then they turn up a no show. Let's see? They are a phone company after all. They could have called???? Simply a no show. Not bad for the only game in town, but oh, there is another company, DSL Extreme. They even have lower rates and faster speed for the internet, but they don't tell you they require a land line with that, gotcha. Well, there goes the cheaper price. Something is wrong with this whole mess. It is like a game of smoke and mirrors. When you try to cancel, all of a sudden there is a new and better price available along with new goodies. I guess they are taking the lead from our country's leaders. Is there no truth left in this world?
We had a good day on the cabinet production line all but one little glitch. I got one of the boxes laid out, glued, and assembled, then realized there was something wrong. The shelf was a sixteenth of an inch too wide. This left the middle with a slight bulge. Rats. I worked quickly to beat the drying glue, tearing the part apart, removing the nails, cutting the shelf that little sixteenth of an inch narrower. Then it was all put back together. Whew. The other three boxes went together much easier.
Sue has gotten our two hutches filled, one in the dining room the other in the office. The office is pretty much squared away with the roll top desk now fixed and stocked and the file cabinet set with files. The unpacking goes on.
Sue missed out on the walk to school this morning waiting for the ever faithful AT&T, so Max had to carry his own back pack and Karissa was stuck with me at the Tea Party. She is still stubborn with the guest list. I keep trying to get an invite for the Mad Hatter. He does such a fine job of tea parties. But she won't allow it, not even letting in the March Hare or Mr. Door mouse. I just can't imagine it more later..
