I found the missing plug behind the cabinet. I was able to slip a thin stick behind the cabinet, first from above then from below, finding the top and the bottom, then from the side finding how far over. Bingo, I got it on the first try. When I removed the wood from the hole it looked strange inside. Then I remembered, the plug had been covered with masking tape for painting. I ended up cutting the hole out with my Dremel of all things. It wasn't easy way back inside the cabinet. Once the hole was opened I needed to bring the plug out flush with the cabinet back which meant I needed new screws. Only two trips to Home Depot and I was done. Whew…..more later..
