0642, Mon, 030314. Rocklin, CA.
Phil Adamson and I met for breakfast at the Granite Grill in Rocklin. All this time Sue and I have been calling it the Rocklin Grill. Guess we have to pay a little closer attention. Phil and I had a great time talking about our crazy sailing days and lots of other old stories. I asked about the cold snap up north since he heads up to the Reservation in Canada and he said the high temp for the day was two degrees. Ouch.
He came by the new house for a walk through and then headed home. He is actually going to retire. He turned in his notice for the end of May and has a lot of plans to keep him busy in the future.
Sue and I planned on putting a few hours in at the house and ended up staying the rest of the day. Sue is scraping paint in other rooms now and is enjoying the new hand sander. I made up some patch pieces for sheetrock then tore out the sheetrock in the kitchen. I was going to try and save it but the tile stuck too good and really left a mess of the surface. It also gives me access to move electricity and water to their proper spot.
Our evening was spent watching Nova. One program was on Fractoral Mathematics and the second on the discovery of a possible new race of humans the size of Hobbits. Very interesting….more later..
